Our Proposal ( Task 2 )

Dr Goh,one of Singapore's forefather, contributed to Singapore in many ways . Some of the more prominent contributions include things such as creating the SAF( Singapore Armed Forces) from scratch as well as creating tourist attractions such as the Jurong Bird Park as well as Sentosa . Without him, Singapore would not have been what it is today.
Our proposal is to commemorate Dr Goh by like what many other people suggested, to rename the Jurong Industrial Estate(JIE) for it was he, who with his hand mould the future of the the Singapore. Not only that, we should also commemorate him by remembering Dr Goh during the SAF Day .
The reasons for commemorating Dr Goh this way are very simple . Firstly, the Jurong Industrial Estate which played a very important part in Singapore's economic.By creating the Jurong Industrial Estate,he offered many people the opportunity to find a job.
The SAF he created helps to defend and protect Singapore. Without it, Singapore would be a very weak country, unable to protect itself, only to be protected by other countries.
Thus, with these reasons in mind, we decided to commemorate Dr Goh by renaming JIE to something bearing his name. When we celebrate SAF day, we can also remember him.
